Welcome to Coastal Cowhides - a 100% fundraising initiative for a New Zealand top female Alpine ski racer, Piera Hudson. Run by the Hudson family with all proceeds enabling Piera to represent New Zealand on the World Cup circuit and to compete at the World Championships.
Piera is currently world ranked top 100 in the world from approximately 4100 FIS registered women and is the top world ranked NZ athlete for Slalom. Although Piera is a member of the NZ National A Team she recives no funding from Sport NZ, so is 100% self-funded by Coastal Cowhides fundraising efforts. The annual programme costs are $250K which covers the coach’s salary, training and competition fees, flights and accommodation over the 6 month Northern Hemisphere and 3 months Southern Hemisphere campaigns.
